I began playing with wood when I was twelve years old. My neighborhood buddy and I built a boat. We carried it to a near by pond where we launched it. With the two would be sailors aboard, it sank. Fortunately, we were in only 18 inches of water and one foot from shore when my boatbuilding career ended.
Some years later after college and with a growing family I rekindled my attraction to the craft of wood and built much of the furniture for use in our home. I studied the designs and works of others, practiced the proven techniques of joinery and developed my skills with the tools available at the time.
When my career in industry ended about twenty years ago I relaunched my career in woodworking in the art of furnitue building. I haven't built any boats, but my enthusiasm and practiced skills have provided my customers with much satisfaction. Most of my work is done by comission and between those times, I create what I like, hoping others will like it also. This usually happens and as a result I am having a difficult time furnishing my current home.
The photos you will see on this site are but a few to my credit. I will be delighted to work with you to create the furniture that meets your needs, suits its environment and exudes your personality with enduring quality.
